Kara Van Petrol

Kara Van Petrol was founded in Florence in 1979 by Alberto Alberti and Rossella Strippoli. The name has been inspired by “Caravan Petrol”, a song from the famous Neapolitan singer Renato Carosone. Both Alberto and Rossella wanted to recall and to homage their southern origins to which they are very attached. Each bag is entirely handmade, with the best vegetable tanned vachetta leather. The characteristic of this type of leather is that it is designed to age with time, so it will go a dark brown shade over the years and with the use. The Kara Van Petrol collection is entirely designed and realized by Alberto and Rossella.
