For over 100 years, the Catarzi family has been producing straw, wool, leather, and fabric fashion accessories. Olderigo Catarzi began working with straw products in 1910, and together with his 3 sisters soon opened a workshop of his own. It was there that ancient family weaving secrets were passed down from generation to generation. In the last 20 or so years, great-great-grandson Maurizio and his wife Stefania have simultaneously modernized production and introduced innovative techniques while always staying true to family traditions. This marriage of past and present, old and new, is incredibly important to the brand. The family’s time-honored passion for their craft guides them and is evident in every single Catarzi creation—all made by hand and in beautiful Italy.
