Television as a container of culture and knowledge enters the Italian homes. These years are characterized by the Hippies, free love and the hippie movement. The flowered shirts and the flowers in their hair then leave room for the spangles and wigs of those who unleash themselves to disco music on the dance floors, as in the Saturday night fever.
